We are seeking a Bioinformatician to join the Data Sciences team, supporting a diverse portfolio of internal and collaborative research programmes. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams across translational and computational biology, with a primary focus on fibrosis and oncology research.
The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis and interpretation of complex multi-dimensional datasets, integrating clinical and molecular data to support research and therapeutic development across the portfolio. Working as part of a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary team, the role will support programmes focused primarily on fibrosis and oncology. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative, with strong scientific curiosity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering high-quality research.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Engitix scientists and external partners to design and implement analytical strategies, deliver biological insights and high quality data visualisations
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to refine scientific questions, communicate analytical approaches and findings, and support decision-making across research programmes
- Develop, maintain, and optimise scalable and reproducible bioinformatics analysis pipelines
- Apply and develop analytical approaches for the integration, analysis, and interpretation of complex multi-modal biological and clinical datasets
- Contribute to computational strategy and best practices in data management, reproducibility, documentation, and FAIR data principles
- Support bioinformatics activities across a diverse portfolio of fibrosis- and oncology-focused programmes
